Respect begets respect.
Simple and true.
God bless you
Have an awesome day and week ahead.
I pray every morning to be able to hold on to this crucial behavioural practice. 'Respect begets respect' is probably the simplest quote to understand. Some however find it difficult to practice and follow in life. Start your morning with a 'thank you', and try to be respectful to everyone around you. I am trying to be respectful to both the living and the non-living in my journey.
Why is it important and crucial? I am not certain, this has worked for every individual. However, in my life after some events in my early life which transformed me, I have tried my best not to be disrespectful to my environment.
Many of us have transitioned from praying to idols, into respecting and observing energy. I believe respect for the environment is like beaming positive energy outward. Newton's third law is: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. The statement means that in every interaction, there is a pair of forces acting on the two interacting objects. Energy is a force, and according to Newton's findings, if you radiate positivity, it should ideally come back with the same magnitude.
Life so far has been adhering to this newton law for me. Some people probably think I am stupid, some people even take advantage of my nature. But I hope and pray, I am able to adhere to this way of life as long as I am around.
I have been blessed to be able to adhere to a morning workout everyday, since 2012. The body we live in, is the temple we should worship. We must respect the body, if we want it to respect us. It is a simple debit/credit OR give/take relationship. Some of us do not realise how important this practice is. Taking care of the body is probably one of the most important activities in our individual lives.
No individual is small, no work is beneath your dignity. Some environments have driven into our minds, these false beliefs. 'He is a waiter, he is a janitor, he drives a bus, he lives in a slum' and so many other statements you would have heard with a sense of scorn. Every living being on this planet has a place, and should not be disrespected. Even a pig living and eating in dirt, has its place in the circle of life.
Our circumstances are different. We all start at different points in life. Some of us soar to become famous, while some of us do not. If you are not famous, does that mean, it is OK for someone to disrespect you?
Do not judge another for what they have done. Try your best not to be disrespectful to the help at home, to the delivery person, to the bus conductor, to the shopkeeper, to cab driver, to the security guard, to the janitor, to the sweeper, and so many other people in our lives who play an important role in our environment.
Start your day with the promise to be respectful and be grateful for every day.
