Wisdom and enlightenment
Knowing others is wisdom.. knowing yourself is enlightenment
God bless you

I really enjoyed reading this quote. Wisdom as we know is a combination of experience and knowledge. This quote has placed wisdom with the ability to be aware of the outside, while 'enlightenment' is the ability to be aware about the inside.
Many of us manage to gain a lot of knowledge from reading books, however very few of us are gifted with the circumstances needed, to transition this knowledge into wisdom.
While the phrase is so simply put, the meaning of the same is deep. I do not know anyone is my circle of friends or professional contacts, who have achieved the ability of 'knowing oneself'. I have read about various forms of meditating, but unfortunately, I have not yet been able to master the regular practice of meditating. I have managed to convince my self to workout every morning. But that is exercising only the physical being. I hope and wish to teach myself this important mental health practice.
Do you know of anyone who has actually reached a mature stage of 'enlightenment'? Would be super to know from you in the comments.
I have been trying to keep myself busy enough, not to have time left in the day to look at what others are doing. I believe that is probably the best way to spend you day. Spend you day with work, family and time to relax. I am hoping to fit in 5/10 minutes of meditating into my schedule.
I do not know whether I have gained wisdom, but I am practicing what I learn and read. I would encourage all the voracious readers to experience the real world as a balance to their individual reading habits.
A friend asked me the other day, do people actually read on the phone/internet? Aren't most people consuming rich format content like audio and video. On the average Web page, users have time to read at most 28% of the words during an average visit; 20% is more likely. Studies show that an average of 55% of people will read an article for less than fifteen seconds. You have fifteen seconds, usually less, to convince your reader to stay put while you impart your pearls of wisdom into the fertile soils of their mind.
I have been sharing quotes and motivation messages around starting you day with positive energy for sometime now. I chose to add experiences and my understanding along with my good wishes.
Would be super to hear your views in the comments. Especially if you know someone, who has learnt to know oneself. Please do also share your views on my blog and the quote give above. Do you agree?
